Being a hard worker is something that I incorporate in my everyday life. Baseball and sports as a whole have taught me to take pride in everything I do. Whether it be in academics, baseball or my social life, I strive to be the best version of myself I can be every day. Growing up, I have always loved baseball despite having little to no family connections to the sport. I always had a good arm but was never really a star. By the time I reached about 8th grade I found myself too skinny to match up with a lot of other pitchers my age. Entering freshman year I was 6’0 and 120 pounds. From that point on I decided if baseball was something I really wanted to pursue I needed to be bigger. I worked tirelessly in the gym and was online constantly looking up big leaguers and trying to replicate their deliveries. I made my fair share of mistakes in the process but today, two and a half years later, I stand at 6’4” 190 pounds throwing 15 miles an hour harder than when I started. This is the type of work ethic I plan to continue through high school and bring to my future college program.
